Always Growing Stronger

In truth, I know I'm not, and I think very few things if any actually are. Science, Art, and many other things tend to be three steps forward and two steps back. Progress is slow at best, and is certainly inconsistent. However, over time we do eventually learn many of the things that we're trying to figure out, and for every question we answer, we find ten new questions to ask. Thus is the nature of working with something where you know that even with all of your efforts you'll only be able to scratch the surface of it. Each action we take to penetrate the mysteries of these subjects greatly increase the surface area of what we can intelligibly examine. The more mature a field is, the fewer new questions you can ask when you receive the answer to an existing one.
