We all have to make choices, and for every choice we make, we gain a new perspective on things, and have different opportunities. However, we also lose the possibilities of what could have been. The lives we live are the paths we've chosen to take under the situations we were presented with.
Not all paths are equal. Some lead to joy and peace, others lead to destruction and despair. Every decision we make changes more than just the world around us, because we are changed by it as well. "Make good choices" might be the wisest and one of the most difficult pieces of advice to follow.
It is hard to know sometimes whether a choice is good or bad, and we all make mistakes. No person has ever lived a perfect life, nor will they. Yet, if you always do the best you can, then you never have to feel ashamed. For we are all ultimately accountable to ourselves more than anyone or anything else. Never make a choice where you know you won't be able to look at yourself in the mirror again if you make it.
Lol, well that's enough philosophy for the next few days.
As for forks in the road, if you see one, "take it." Forks are good to have, especially if they're on a queen and a king with a knight that's not open to attack. But, that kind of fork is hard to tune a violin with, even if it can bring tasty victories to your mouth.
I hope you like this fractal. ^_^
